Our Story

Alpha Utility Contractors was formed in September 2021. The Alpha Utility Contractors team was informally put together by Joe Walsh, J.T. and Andrew’s father, Rob’s brother, and Keith’s friend. Alpha Utility Contractors is a certified veteran owned company which focuses on water and sewer utility construction throughout New Jersey.   

Keith Kology served in the U.S. Navy from 1982 through 1986. Upon his discharge, Keith began his career in New Jersey utility work. While most of his experience has been on the construction side, Keith also gained experience on the utility provider side, working with NJ Natural Gas from 1987 to 1997. Keith is the rare owner who is fully hands on with the work, delving deep into the more complex jobs brought to Alpha by our clients to solve. 

Andrew Walsh manages the day-to-day operations, estimating, scheduling, and coordination of the work. Prior to Alpha, Andrew managed vertical construction projects throughout NYC. 

Rob Walsh has worked in the New Jersey construction industry for over 30 years, with most of his tenure spent at J. Fletcher Creamer & Sons. In an effort to provide a strong emphasis on safety, Rob serves as our Safety Director.
